There’s nothing better than a good natter and we’d love to hear about your business challenges.
Quadrangle exists to help our clients succeed and grow.
We believe growth and success are rooted in the ability to think better and act differently.
And we believe people – through their attitudes, ideas and abilities – create success and growth.
This inspires us. It shapes our work, approach and attitude.
It makes us single-minded in what we do, but open-minded about how we do it.
It explains why we work in teams and as partners with our clients.
It’s why we look for people with natural wit, intelligence and nous. And admire the energy, focus and passion of the entrepreneur.
It creates the attitude at the very heart of Quadrangle: entrepreneurial imagination.
Quadrangle was driven by purpose long before it became fashionable for brands to talk about their ‘why’. Our Founders, John Gambles and Christine Hastings, started the business because they could see a better way of delivering to clients, of making a genuine difference.
Partners in life as well as in business, John and Christine set the tone from the start, embodying the ethos that sits at the heart of how we work at Quadrangle: never be satisfied with the satisfactory.
They have made a profound impact – professionally and personally – in the lives of many, many people. They have launched and nurtured careers (including my own), challenged and changed norms, and inspired different ways of thinking about and doing things.
Of course, a lot has changed in the nearly four decades since Quadrangle came into being, but never the things that inspired them to set up the business in the first place.
By doing what we believe in, following our instincts and daring to be different, we have come a long way. Our footprint (for a comparatively small business) is significant; we have influenced Government policy at the highest levels, helped change the face of the financial services sector, and used our insight to shape strategies that have revitalised some of the UK’s best-loved brands.
In October 2021, John passed away, leaving a huge void in our lives. Before he died, the Market Research Society rightly recognised his contribution to changing the face of our sector by making him an Honorary Fellow. He is much missed, but his legacy lives on in all that we do, and we know he’d be proud of the business we are today.
